Juergen2 3
Hi, I am trying since days to get rid of the "barbershop" red&white bars in The Course and Miles display of the HSI. Any suggestions I would appreciate it Thanks Juergen Mader
Victory103 24
Are you in the correct NAV mode? On the right console make sure you have the DEPR RET in STB or PRI (cockpit tooltips will show NAV1/2 or GPS).
Juergen2 3
Hi, I again tried to clear the barbershop flags but no success. I tried the DEPR RET switch in GPS mode, Nav2 mode and NAV1 mode but the flags remain. The INSTR MODE selector switch is set to NAV. I was wondering if you could check the following for me: I have no flightplan loaded, so there is no COURSE and DISTANCE/MILES info available. The aircraft is set to "ready to fly" (Shift+2) and the HUD switches, sensors and avionics are set. Are your barbershop flags gone at this point? Thanks alot Juergen Mader
Victory103 24
Juergen, Stand-by I'll fire up the Viper and check my FSX-Gold install.
Victory103 24
With a valid VOR/DME both my Miles and Course "flags" are removed in Instrument Mode NAV or NAV/ILS (actually all 4 positions), corresponding to HSI page on right MFD. Per manual for ILS, course is unflagged while "miles" are flagged after DED freq/course entry and ST.STA on lower right avionics panel to "OFF". Juergen2 3
Hi Victory103, This time I followed your instructions and it worked. Both, miles and course where unflagged with the entry of a valid VOR. Thanks Juergen
