PFPX ADD flight don't work

Recommended Posts

Hello,

PFPx don't work wirh the hotfix 1.28.9i. When I click on ADD flight it crash.

I have installed the microsoft visual C++ 2017 x86 and microsoft visual C++ 2017 x64.

Is a new hotfix in preparation to fix this issue?

Best regards

Guy Noel

Please take a look into your Windows Event Logs (eventvwr.exe -> Windows Log -> Applications) for the complete error message and post it here.

BTW: I have removed "in P3Dv4.2" from the topic title as this has nothing to do with P3D. PFPX and P3D are completely separated applications.

The failure seems to be caused by your ATI Radoen graphics board. Please ensure to be on the latest available driver version for it.

Unfortunately with the latest driver the same issue occur.

I reload the windows log , it seems it is always rhe same error.

the particularity is the fact it is when I call the ADD FLIGHT window that PFPX crashes.

Both such installations shouldn't touch any files within your "C:\WINDOWS\System32" folder.

Please check for any Windows updates that might have been installed the last days.

That was well before the P3Dv4.2 release. And I assume you have used PFPX successfully since that date, right?

Can you run the Windows update check please, to see if Microsoft have any kind of update for your computer?

Yes, PFPX works very well since the update to P3Dv4.2.

My windows10PRO is update, I made a research today at 11h15.

I have some friends who haven't problem with the hotfix. I don't understand.

Best regards

There is not much we can do more here in the forums. The problem is in your graphics board driver.

You should open a support ticket directly with FlightSimSoft, maybe they are able to find a workaround for this ATI problem:

Windows 10

i7 377k

NVDIA GTX 980 TI

16 GB RAM

I think I've isolated it down to an .NET framework error, unfortunately Microsoft has made it next to impossible to refresh a corrupted .NET installation after the recent updates.

I did a windows reset and all is working normally on the current NVDIA drivers. Thanks for the help.
