sky king 0
Am very slowly downloading PANC Pro. My speeds (on a 1 Gb symmetric fiber connection) are only between 200-600 Kbps. This is obviously slow. Here is a tracert to your download server: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\Users\Peter> I get similar results on the other server (EU or World). I don't see a US server option however. Can something be done about this? Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted January 11, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 11, 2018 The "World" selection is the Amazon S3 cloud which should give you a proper download rate.
sky king 0
Well, I tried that and it is even slower: C:\Users\XXXX>tracert amazonaws.com Tracing route to amazonaws.com [207.171.166.22] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1 2 3 ms 2 ms 2 ms tcso-dsl-gw27.tcso.qwest.net [75.160.240.27] 3 3 ms 2 ms 2 ms tcso-agw1.inet.qwest.net [75.160.241.209] 4 57 ms 57 ms 57 ms dca2-edge-01.inet.qwest.net [67.14.36.10] 5 57 ms 57 ms 57 ms 67.133.224.206 6 71 ms 78 ms 76 ms 54.239.109.226 7 57 ms 57 ms 57 ms 54.239.109.243 8 57 ms 57 ms 62 ms 72.21.222.139 9 * * * Request timed out. 10 * * * Request timed out. 11 * * * Request timed out. 12 * * * Request timed out. 13 58 ms 58 ms 58 ms 205.251.248.123 14 58 ms 57 ms 57 ms 166-22.amazon.com [207.171.166.22] Trace complete. Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted January 12, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 12, 2018 I do not have any problems downloading here, even when I go through my company VPN which is routed over Ireland and somethimes slow. So either something is slowing down the connection on your PC or something is happening on the way between your home and the servers. But in both cases, Aerosoft does not have any influence on this. I am also having this issue I just purchased the upgrade to Anchorage. I have tried both mirrors and currently amazon is d/l at 180 KB/sec, the fastest. Deputy Sheriffs Herman 1591 Posted January 13, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 13, 2018 As Tom and Otto noted, Aerosoft uses third-party servers to distribute software. There's nothing Aerosoft can do about any bottlenecks between those servers and you. The issue could be anywhere between the two and as you might know, a blazing fast connection to one given server doesn't mean any other connectioin will be that fast. The Europe server is not Aerosoft either? 8 hours remaining, 130KB/s
Deputy Sheriffs Herman 1591 Posted January 13, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 13, 2018 Tom would know better than me. Let's see what he says. That's an unbelievable speed. No wonder you're trying to find out what the deal is. When I downloaded it on Thursday, I was getting 1.6-1.7 Mbs on a DSL line.
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted January 13, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 13, 2018 All servers are of course hosted servers have a proper connection to the backbone. In case of EU the datacenter is in Germany, in case of WORLD it's the Amazon cloud. I don't know the details of that contract, but I assume it also hosting in the US. Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted January 15, 2018 Aerosoft Share Posted January 15, 2018 Checked the average download speed on Saturday and it was around 2500 KBs, more or less standard.
