Slow Download, Anchorage Pro

Am very slowly downloading PANC Pro. My speeds (on a 1 Gb symmetric fiber connection) are only between 200-600 Kbps. This is obviously slow. Here is a tracert to your download server:

I get similar results on the other server (EU or World). I don't see a US server option however. Can something be done about this?

Thanks,

Well, I tried that and it is even slower:

From hop 5 and beyond, those are Amazon IPs.

Here are pings:

Pinging amazonaws.com [72.21.210.29] with 32 bytes of data:

And I forgot to include the ping times for the EU option:

Pinging 85.195.84.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 85.195.84.1: bytes=32 time=162ms TTL=55
Reply from 85.195.84.1: bytes=32 time=161ms TTL=55
Reply from 85.195.84.1: bytes=32 time=162ms TTL=55
Reply from 85.195.84.1: bytes=32 time=161ms TTL=55

RIght now, the World option is below 100 Kbps.

I do not have any problems downloading here, even when I go through my company VPN which is routed over Ireland and somethimes slow.

So either something is slowing down the connection on your PC or something is happening on the way between your home and the servers. But in both cases, Aerosoft does not have any influence on this.

I am also having this issue I just purchased the upgrade to Anchorage. I have tried both mirrors and currently amazon is d/l at 180 KB/sec, the fastest.

As Tom and Otto noted, Aerosoft uses third-party servers to distribute software. There's nothing Aerosoft can do about any bottlenecks between those servers and you. The issue could be anywhere between the two and as you might know, a blazing fast connection to one given server doesn't mean any other connectioin will be that fast.

The Europe server is not Aerosoft either?

8 hours remaining, 130KB/s

Tom would know better than me. Let's see what he says.

That's an unbelievable speed. No wonder you're trying to find out what the deal is. When I downloaded it on Thursday, I was getting 1.6-1.7 Mbs on a DSL line.

All servers are of course hosted servers have a proper connection to the backbone.

In case of EU the datacenter is in Germany, in case of WORLD it's the Amazon cloud. I don't know the details of that contract, but I assume it also hosting in the US.
