Ray Proudfoot 231
I have searched extensively through the Downloads section looking for a template file for the Carenado PC-12 but without success. It seems odd that one hasn't been created for a reasonably popular aircraft. I have zero knowledge on how to create these so would appreciate it if someone could assist me, thanks. srcooke 422
Hello Ray, Whilst a Carenado template does not exist the performance file is supplied with PFPX. Use the 'Add New Aircraft' option, not from template. You make any adjustments to weights etc and then save the aircraft, you could also save as your own template. Ray Proudfoot 231
Thanks Stephen, so easy when you know how.
srcooke 422
A template applies addon/user modified data to the performance file, the latter been required.
Ray Proudfoot 231
How do I generate a performance file? That's one with a per extension I assume. Looking at existing ones they have non-ASCII characters so presumably generated by PFPX.
srcooke 422
.per files are locked by the publisher to protect data. The performance file itself can be text such as the Pilatus PC12.txt file, do you not have this ? You would need advice from others regarding the data required for a successful profile. Ray Proudfoot 231
I have a Pilatus PC12.txt file in AircraftTypes. Is that the one you're referring to? Understood about getting profile data from others.
srcooke 422
That is the correct file Ray. I would just use the 'add new aircraft ' enter the registration, adjust weights in necessary and see how the data works out.
Ray Proudfoot 231
Thanks Stephen. Done that and got a usable aircraft. Tweaking will follow once I get some fuel data.
