HowTo 009: Get your Platform Dialog back

Background:

SIMstarter NG can handle multiple simulator versions at once. For example FSX, P3Dv2.4, P3Dv3.2 and P3Dv4.1. The selection of the simulator (platform) will be made in a Platform Dialog at Program start. This HowTo explains how to make it visible if you've hidden this dialog.

 

Requirements:

• SIMstarter NG

 

If you are able to start SIMstarter NG:

1. Open SIMstarter NG
2. Go to Settings > Program settings
3. Make sure that "Hide platform dialog at program start" is UNCHECKED > Click "OK"
4. Restart SIMstarter NG

If you are not able to use the program interface:

 

1. Edit this file

   C:\Aerosoft\SIMstarter NG\data\SIMstarter NG Settings.ini

2. Make sure that this setting is done:

   [GENERAL]
   hidePlatformDialog=False

3. Save the file and restart SIMstarter NG

Hintergrund:

SIMstarter NG kann mehrere Simulatorversionen gleichzeitig verwalten. Zum Beispiel FSX, P3Dv2.4, P3Dv3.2 und P3Dv4.1. Die Auswahl des Simulators (Plattform) erfolgt bei Programmstart in einem Platform Dialog. Dieses HowTo erklärt, wie Sie es sichtbar machen können, wenn Sie dieses Dialogfeld ausgeblendet haben.

Wenn SIMstarter NG gestartet werden kann:

1. SIMstarter NG öffnen
2. Zu Einstellungen > Programmeinstellungen wechseln
3. Die Option "Platformdialog beim Programmstart nicht anzeigen" ABWÄHLEN > "OK" klicken
4. SIMstarter NG neustarten

Wenn SIMstarter NG nicht mehr gestartet werden kann:

 

1. Diese Datei mit einem Texteditor (notepad) bearbeiten:

   C:\Aerosoft\SIMstarter NG\data\SIMstarter NG Settings.ini

2. Sicherstellen, dass diese Einstellung gesetzt ist:

   [GENERAL]
   hidePlatformDialog=False

3. Datei speichern und SIMstarter NG neu starten
