CTD after a few seconds loading CRJ on P3D V4.1

Recommended Posts

Hi,

my CRJ is always crashing, a few seconds after loading the plane.

for your further information it gives me a 300 MB minidump, which is attached below.

The windows event viewer tells me ASCRJ unloaded, please see below:

My P3D is installed on a separate SSD on drive M:\  on a WIN 10 X64 OS and all my drivers are up to date.

Thanks for your help in advance, and responding in english ...oder in Deutsch

Sascha

1) If FSX or P3D has been installed to "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)" (these are the default paths of the FSX/P3D installers but it's still a bad idea to put them there), running FSX/P3D as Administrator should solve the problem.

2) The CRJ relies on data from "Documents\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ", so if this folder doesn't exist, the gauge will terminate and unload. This seems to happen every from time to time and is an issue with the CRJ installer. As Mathijs said, probably the best cure is to reinstall the CRJ as Administrator

3) If the folder is not "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)" and the "Documents\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ" folder exists, then it's likely that something else (C++ redistributable files or Simconnect) is missing. In this case I have no idea why that would happen, but I would recommend a reinstall as Administrator as well.

Thanks a lot for your Reply, Mathijs,

1) is not the case, as P3D V 4.1 is installed on a seperate SSD  M:\P3D-V4\Prepar3D v4. I'm always running CRJ as admin

2) The folder   "C:\Users\Sascha\Documents\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ" exists, but there ios no file called ASCRJ in there. I installed the CRJ as Admin

3) The following C++ versions are installed. If you have an idea which is missing, would be great :

C++  2017 Redistributable (x64) 14.11.25325

C++  2015 Redistributable (x86) 14.0.24212

C++  2013 Redistributable (x86) 12.0.30501

C++  2013 Redistributable (x64) 12.0.30501

C++  2012 Redistributable (x86) 11.0.61030

C++  2010 Redistributable (x64) 10.0.40219

C++  2008 Redistributable (x86) 9.0.307729.6161

Thanks in advance,

Sascha

The crash happens outside the CRJ so it's impossible to tell what causes it. Can you try to create a minidump file and upload it to dropbox or google drive or similar?

Here's how you enabled minidump creation:

- open Documents\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ\CRJ_P3Dv4.cfg in notepad

- append

[Debug]
CreateMinidumps=2

at the end of the file (unless you already have those entries. In this case change the value for CreateMinidumps to 2.

Let's see if that helps to track down the issue.

The minidump points to several ACExxxx.DLL files. These are part of Microsoft Offfice and are used to access MS Access databases. The only add-on I know that uses these is FS2Crew's RAAS Professional - which is included in the CRJ Installer as an option.

You're not the first who has problems with RAAS Pro. Fortunately it can be uninstalled separately through the Apps control panel, so my recommendation is to remove it. I'll check if there's a never version of RAAS Pro available than is included in the CRJ installer.

Thanks a lot, Hans

But still some questions:

What's about the Kernelbase.dll and the msado 15.dll error(s)?

If there's also a problem with Micriosoft Office, should I also install / update a new office, or would the problem be resolved withthe newer version of RAAS Pro?

Viele Grüße,

Sascha

If there is an FS2Crew RAAS update available which addresses this problem an update should fix it.

Until then just uninstall FS2Crew RAAS.

There is no need for an update of your MS Office.
