rudi0310 0
Hi, ordered and installed today. PFP crashed first every time when trying to edit per 'find' generated flightplan. Or when executing 'find'. Depending on map window layout docked/undocked. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same PC. Got msg 'you have installed on 2 different machines the last 180 days' then. And the old entries (aircraft database) and schedules still were present, were not deleted from uninstalling. How to perform a complete uninstall? Applying redistributable was rejected, because 'newer version already is installed'. Applied Hot fix 1.28.9i from this forum. Now PFPX crashes even when resizing/formatting map window. Tried both full screen and not. I'm new to such a type of planning software. No ideas anymore now. Had installed PFPX as admin with disabled virus scanner. Win 10 64 bit. srcooke 422
Follow the instruction posted HERE Rudi to install SP3 of the vcredist 2015 runtimes. If you have the 2017 version installed it supersedes that linked.
rudi0310 0
Hi Stephen, that helps somewhat, many thanks for the hint! The problem did not disappear completely. In my case, it seems to be the map window. It helps when I - set PFPX in full screen mode - undock map screen or set in 'automatic send to backgound' mode. Cheers and thanks again Rudi
