Recommended Posts

Hi I am having problems with the textures at EGLPROF.I am seeing grass encroaching onto the concourse, and the taxi lines are off center on the taxi ways.Included are screenshots from gate 220 and my scenery library.I have excluded bgl files from ORBX and have no other Heathrow scenery installed.

Thank you for any help

Yes, we have layer 1-47, but is there other between 48 and the first default layer, normally called "Bathymetry"

The pics of your sim looks like there is another addon effecting the area.

That one you have checked already?

Please can you check the Mytraffic Professional Folder (Layer 209) for any EGLL releated file.

And, I don't be a Orbx specialist, but I think there are also Files or Switches in the tools of Orbx Vector (layer 220, 221) related to Airports, which maybe needs to switched off.

Hi I cannot move the scenery any higher as the ones obove are greyed out and unmoveable.I have double checked the main psdv4.1 folder for any other EGGL instances including mytraffic and added the extension .OFF to all the ones that I have found.Screenshots om mytraffic &orbx searches

When I compare the Top-Down View Screenshot of your first post, with the Photoground of EGLL Prof, it looks much different and like there is another older Photoground below, which shows the airport in an older state.

I don't know it the UK 2000 London City airport will generate this, other addons in the area I don't see in your list and Orbx should not generate a Photoground there !?.

Try to uncheck the City Airport in Options->Add-ons temporary to check it.

Hi again Oliver thank you for replying so quickly.I deactivated uk200 London city and uk2000 Gatwick,it made no difference.I will do a fresh install of heathrow and see how that works. Will report back shortly.

Hi again.uninstalled heathrow and all associated files, rebooted pc and reinstalled scenery into default option for p3dv4.Sorry to say that the problem is still thereMy graphics card drivers were updated on Sunday so I wouldn|t think that that would be the problem?

It could not be card driver, even a defect one is not able to generate a old photoground at the area. And Heathrow pro has not such a ground.

So there must be any files related to egll somewhere in one of the 100rd active scenery Folders.

What happens, when you uncheck the Heathrow Entry in the Scenery Library. Did you then see the default airport only or still a photoground below?

Another way to double check it, is to move the add-ons subfolders to a save place (so that this addon goes inactive) and also move (not copy) the scenery.cfg to a save place.

When you then start P3D it will generate a default scenery.cfg, then you can add the Heathrow Folder manually to check, if all looks correct.

After that, you minimum know, that Heathrow Pro is ok, but when you copy back the scenery.cfg and the Addon Folder, the issue will be back.

Are all your addons installed fresh for P3D V4 or did you take over addons from older P3D or FSX installations? Maybe there are older Heathrow files mixed into other Scenery folders.

Ok,

The green missplaced grass areas and shadows seams to come from a photoground showing the airport before the new terminals was build. This definitiv not part of Heathrow Prof or the default scenery. I whould expect, that it is a file(s) somewhere in the folders of the layer 1-30, so it has a higher prio, then the files of Hearthow Pro.

Thank you again Oliver.I did as you suggested and have uploaded new sreen shots.NO1 is with default cfg and no2 is with default cfg and heathrow added.I think the next step is to introduce sceneries one by one until I find the offending one.

Thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it.

All the best M.Hamilton

Hello again Oliver,I am so so sorry for wasting your valuable time. The offending scenery was UK2000 VFR AIRFIELDS VOL1.That must have been the only folder on my harddrive that I did not check(Buffoon)

To be honest I would not of thought that Heathrow would have been part of a VFR package||

Thank you once again for your kind help you have made me a very happy simmer, and I love the new update to Heathrow

Kindest regards M.Hamilton

P.S

Looking georgeous

Thanks for the feedback. That UK2000 could be part of the problem was to expected, but I also not see the VFR Airports as part of the problem ;)

But good to know, so we can close it.
