Developer Capt. PERO 398 Posted October 17, 2017 Developer Share Posted October 17, 2017 Okay. Version 1.6.1 will have a better logging to see what causes the error. glenn2015 0
I'm having the exact same problem. It's unusable for me right now. Is there anything that can be done to resolve this issue?

You can either install the previous version (if you kept the previous installer) or wait a little bit for the next version to become available which will provide better debugging possibilities to be able to pin this problem down. Please see the post right above yours.

Please see the post right above yours. I have the previous installer, however, on version 4.1 of P3D this doesn't even allow me to select the sim. Do you think that it could make any difference that my addon sceneries are on a different drive and locations mapped via add-on.xml in my documents folder? Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted October 17, 2017 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 17, 2017 I am not a big fan of guessing but of structured analysis/debugging. Pero wrote he needs the new version for extended debugging possibilities to pin this problem down. So the only way I see at the moment is to let this version become available, get the extended debugging information and hope that it will be enough for him to find and afterwards fix the problem. Developer Capt. PERO 398 Posted October 17, 2017 Developer Share Posted October 17, 2017 Version 1.6.1 is out. If you have 1.6 installed the auto updater will bring you to version 1.6.1. If the problem does still exist please post a new DebugPack.

Developer Capt. PERO 398 Posted October 17, 2017 Developer Share Posted October 17, 2017 Hi Adriano, perfect! Improved logging showed we that he crashed by reading one of the Add-On.xml files. Sorry that was a stupic bug in SIMstarter NG. Please try this <FILE REMOVED. Version 1.6.2 is available via AutoUpdate! > Backup the existing "C:\Aerosoft\SIMstarter NG\SIMstarter NG.exe" Copy the downloaded file to "C:\Aerosoft\SIMstarter NG\SIMstarter NG.exe" Start SIMstarter NG and test it Please report. I will upload the update for all users after testing.
