Sabretooth78 56
After some consideration of whether or not I had the time to complete such an undertaking, I've decided I'll pursue this adventure. I've always mused of circumnavigating the globe, and to date I've only been able to complete 6 transatlantics and one westward transpacific (not counting some FS4 "transoceanic" flights back in the day). Now first off, my sim time is generally constrained by real life to typically a maximum of 5 hours a night, with what I figure to be 35 viable "flying nights" among the next 80 days - so unfortunately that puts "low and slow" out the the question. But high, fast and heavy is fun too! Route: With everything above in mind, and considering my desire to hit up some stops I wouldn't typically have occasion to visit, I'm proposing the following tour plan and schedule: EGSS DTTA LMML HECA FSIA VRMM VABB VECC VTBS VHHH RJBB RJTT PGUM PKMJ NSTU NTAA SCIP SPJC MMPR KSFO CYWG KJFK LPPD LFBD EGSS Please login to display this image. Yes, it deviates a little from the textbook route, but I want to visit some other places I have yet to find an excuse to visit. For instance, who here has actually simmed a flight to Easter Island? Be honest, now! Be advised that this schedule is subject to revision depending on my schedule. I hope not to have to omit any intermediate stops, but it may become necessary. Hopefully, I'll be able to find time to add some additional legs instead. Time will tell. Aircraft: I will be utilizing the following aircraft on this tour, as appropriate given the length and any other constraints for each leg: Airbus A320 Boeing B757 Boeing 777 Embraer E170 If time allows, and I am able to add in some shorter island-hopping legs, any of the following may also see some action: ATR AT75 Cessna 402 (assuming this is considered modern?) Saab 340B Tracking: These flights will be flown as charters under Worldwide Virtual, and can therefore be tracked and verified through their interface. Click here to view my profile at Worldwide Virtual. Additionally, my flights may also be tracked in real-time via FSX Flight Tracker. Click here to view my profile at FSX Flight Tracker. Arrived at Male A little short on pictures for this one, since it was all over water, night approach, VoxATC being particularly erratic, all combined with my relative unfamiliarity with performing non-precision approaches with the QualityWings 757 conspiring against them. The approach was a bit of a mess until I had enough of the autopilot doing whatever the heck it was trying to do (I'm sure it was ultimately my fault!) and just go manual. That left a bad taste, but all in all it ended up being a rather nice crosswind landing.
