wasgar 1
I've read several threads where the CRJ crashes to desktop on load. I can't seem to find a solid answer on the cause. Has anyone discovered the issue? Myself, I tried CRJ v1011 (P3D V4) and it crashed as soon as I tried to load the aircraft, but reinstalled v1005 and it works as expected, no problem at all. Just courious..
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted September 22, 2017 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 22, 2017 Please take a look into your Windows Event Log (eventvwr.exe -> Windows Logs -> Application) and post the latest error entry being written from p3d.exe here. wasgar 1
Tom is that ucrtbase.dll part of the VC++ install? I have VC++ (x64) 14.0.24212 and VC++ (x86) 14.0.24212 redistributable installed. Thanks
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted September 22, 2017 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 22, 2017 Yes, that's part of the VC++ runtime environment. You could try to install the most recent version, 2017. This is not a new environment as it was in the past for each new version, but more or less a bugfix version of the 2015 environment. That's why it also comes with a version 14.x.xxxx. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted September 26, 2017 Developer Share Posted September 26, 2017 On 22.9.2017 at 22:30, wasgar sagte: Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe This problem only concerns people who installed their flight simulator to C:\Program Files. The issue has been tracked down and fixed. Until the fix is available for download, running P3D v4 as Administrator will help as a workaround. That's where i installed it, but as you say, I run it as Admin and it runs fine. Thanks again...
