Sorry guys, I didn't realize but now, that the pictures to some of my previous reports had not been released to public. :banghead1_s: As well I didn't yet post two flight reports which we had performed already some days earlier.

Here is our flight report for the leg 8010 of the second segment of flights Suez – Bombay which we concluded on 14-Oct-2017.

Distance: 487NM, FL350, Avg Wind: 291/010, Fuel Burned: 3,900kg, Aircraft A319, D-AERO

At hot and calm weather conditions we are ready for push back.

Weather report shows clear skies as well for the complete leg. Only some haze at our destination airport.

After a Gulf Air A320 and an Oman Air B737 we are number three for departure.

Climbing out of runway 08(R).

In the far distance and the haze we can recognize the coast of Pakistan to which we are flying in parallel until reaching Karachi the capital of the Pakistani province of Sindh and the city in Pakistan with the largest population.

At FL130 on descent to Karachi.

On final approach to Karachi runway 25L not too much to identify due to strong haze.

Parked at gate 64 read for some days of rest until we are continuing our tour.

Wish you all always happy landings

At gate 64 ready for push back.

The weather map showed fair weather for the flight with exception of the departure and seatination airport.

Climbing out or Karachi’s runway 25L into the haze.

A bit further into the flight outside of the compressed town centers we had the announced clear sky.

About 90 minutes into the flight we arrived in the vicinity of Mumbai or former Bombay indicated by intense cloud layers and later on by haze.

Turning left for our downwind leg over the huge urban area Mubai.

This picture of clear skies with view on the destination airport was kind of irritating as we would learn later.

A closer view on the airport and town center of Mumbai.

On final approach to runway 27 we had the expected haze.

Parking in the rain at gate 54 located at the domestic terminal.

Wish you all always happy landings

In the meantime the issues with crashes when trying to load SimBrief flight plans into the FMS of CRJ-900 have dissapeared. So we switched planes back to the CRJ-900.
As well I was searching the internet for some freeware scenery add-ons for future destinations airports. When arriving at VABB we had standard scenery, for departure I’ve added the add-on listed above.

Final preparations in process for our first leg of this third segment of flights.

The weather map shows again clouds and haze at the large city centers and some light clouds in between.

Taxiing to runway 27. In the background the already refurbished part of the international terminal. Today however with reduced traffic.

Climbing out of runway 27 into the haze again.

Heading east to flying by on the northern side of the Mumbai International airport.

The more we approaching Hyderabad, the more dense are becoming the clouds.

On our first approach we missed the airport and settled for a second attempt.

The second attempt to land was successful.

And finally we park at gate 52 in the steam bath of Hyderabad.

Wish you all always happy landings

Compared to previous day in the morning of the new day the haze had almost gone.

Again the standard pattern reduced visibility around the locations with compressed town centers and clear skies in between these crowded centers.

Climbing out of runway 27R.

Soft clouds on our way towards the eastern coast of the Indian sub-continent.

Heading north along the eastern coast we are passing Chilika Lake the largest lagoon in Asia with lots of species of rare animals among them dolphins.

After about almost two hours into the flight we reach the huge delta of the Ganges River, on one hand the most sacred river to Hindus on the other hand one of the five most polluted rivers in the world.

On approach to Kolkata International Airport again we have to fight through the haze.

On final approach to runway 19L.

Parked at stand 54 we close the legs for the third segment of flights from Mumbai (former Bombay) to Kolkata (former Calcutta).

Our passengers as well as the crew enjoyed warming up in a hot bath tube from yesterday’s freezing temperatures.
With some of us suffering from a severe cold we had been ready for the next leg which would bring us to Singapore.

Our original flight plan was pretty much direct connection between departure and destination airports, however, due to severe weather conditions we instead re-planned for a detour further south.

We had been number two after a starting B747 from Phuket Air.

Climbing out of runway 27.

We would arrive at Singapore only after sunset.

On approach to runway 02L at Changi Airport.

On final to runway 02L.

Taxiing to our assigned stand 102.

Arrived at our destination for the day, where we planned to stay for two full days.

When preparing our flight for this day we had a A380 from Singapore Airlines parked next to us.

Due to availability of add-on sceneries we did not fly as planned to Ho Chi Minh, but to Da Lat - Lien Khuong Airport. On our route we had to cross an area of severe weather conditions.

Climbinmg out of runway 02C.

On our track we had interesting cloud layers.

When passing Ho Chi Minh City we had view on the large Mekong Delta.

Our destination airport had an elevation of 3,048 ft. On our approach we had been very close to the hills surrounding Dalat.

On final approach to runway 09.

When taxiing to our gate we have a view on the nice terminal building inaugurated in 2009 and the new tower building.

Parked at stand 6 of the airport.

Compared to our first rough flight plan we also modified this leg. We decided to make a stop-over at the old Kai Tak Airport. While we had been preparing our flight it was raining.

Weather map showed clouds at least for the first two third of the flight.

Climbing out of runway 27.

After a procedure turn we headed east and crossed over the airport.

After reaching and heading north along the coastline we entered an area with heavy turbulences.

About 40 NM short of Hong Kong the skies had cleared again.

After passing the new Chep Lak Kok Airport we followed the famous “Checker-Board” approach.

On final approach towards the checker-board short before we turned for an approach to runway 13.

Turning right and flying between the skyscrapers,  really challenging approach.

Parked at the old terminal building, with only little traffic after a successful landing.

With respect to UTC-time we started this flight the same day as we arrived at Haneda Airport. However, from local perspective we had one short night of sleep in between the two flights. The airport is already busy early in the morning, when we prepared for our first flight of the fifth segment Yokohama to San Francisco.

Also for this flight the weather map showed clouds.

Climbing out of runway 34L.

Heading north we have a last glance at the city before we get absorbed in the clouds.

Above the clouds we enjoy the sunshine.

After an uneventful flight with little to no chance for sightseeing we prepare for landing at Sapporo/New Chitose Airport.

We are cleared to land on runway 01R…

… which all the sudden disappeared as we approached more closely.
I was quite astonished that this effect happened even though I was levelling airports with an ORBX-tool always after installing new add-on sceneries.

Finally we made it to our assigned gate G1.

Early in the morning windy and icy conditions and snow at Stand G8.

Weather map shows an area of severe turbulences between FL100 and FL390 around Petropavlovsk.

Climbing out of runway 34R.

After a teardrop turn we are passing back over Petropavlovsk heading east for Adak.

This was the view out of the windows for the next 2 hours, clouds and sea and sea and clouds.

About an hour ahead of our arrival at Adak the sun was close to hide behind the horizon. In these northern areas of our globe the days during wintertime are very short, in particular when you are moving eastwards as we do.

80 NM away from Adak we identify the first isles of the Aleutian Islands – and it’s getting darker.

After a flight duration of 2 hours and 45 minutes we are on final approach to runway 23 of Adak.

We parked in front of the main terminal building of the small airport of a village of some 300 to 400 inhabitants.

Wish you all always happy landings

During the climb to our cruising altitude we pass through various cloud layers.

Later in the flight we have a better view on the isles below us since the clouds break up.

Compared to the original route for this tour around the world we applied some changes to the legs of the remaining part by skipping around every second intermediate destination. Thereby we extended the various durations of the legs to about 2 or 2 1/2 hours flight time.

Clear skies in the morning after that nasty weather when we arrived three days ago.

Taxiing the long way up to runway 08.

Climbing out of runway 08.

The weather map for this trip to Yakutat shows continuously clouds on our route. Therefore not many pictures enroute.

About 70 NM away from Yakutat we are descending through FL130 on our approach.

At FL130 about 30 NM southeast of Icy Bay we have a marvelous view at a mountain chain in the northwest of Yakutat.

At 6000 ft west of Yakutat we face a majestic chain of volcanic mountains.

Here we are already on the approach to runway 11.

Parking in front of a small terminal building of Yakutat Airport, which belongs to a small village with around 700 inhabitants.

It’s no surprise that weather didn’t change, still clouds.

Taxiing to runway 11 for departure.

Climbing out of runway 11.

Climbing to our cruise level FL330.

Reaching US territory at Washington state we have a nice view at Mount Rainier above the Aerosoft signature.

Further south we have a view at Mount Hood in Oregon at the left horizon and at the remaining of earlier volcano Mount St. Helens close to Portland at the right edge of the picture.

On our approach we pass at low distance Mount St. Helens, which had the last huge eruption in 1980 when a large portion of the top had been blown away.

We are cleared for runway 10R. We have to fly over Columbia River the wide river flowing from left to right. He identifies the border between Washington and Oregon. After crossing the river we will turn left and pass over the harbor district of Portland.

On final approach to runway 10R.

Arrived at gate D4 next to an airliner of US Airways.

Still parking at Stand 31 when preparing for our leg today.

Weather map shows partly cloudy conditions for our route.

Waiting at runway 28L for takeoff clearance while there are two B777 airliners waiting at runway 28R for a small business jet to land.

Climbing out of runway 28L.

On our departure route via waypoint REBAS we fly over Golden Gate Bridge.

On our right side the passengers have a nice view at downtown San Francisco with the piers and the bridge across the bay leading to Oakland.

A final view back on the San Francisco Bay.

Crossing the snow covered Rocky Mountains.

After more than two hours we reach our destination and have to take care not to mix up Laramie Airport in the back with a private airport in the front.

Taxiing to the Apron:

People who came to the airport today not only can wonder at a Flybe Saab340 but also at our CRJ 900. Both planes may not be standard guests at this airport. Currently KLAR only has multiple daily connections to Denver operated by United Airlines using a CRJ-200.

About two hours later in the day we are ready to continue our flight to Chicago-Midway.

Weather map shows some light clouds and zones with turbulences below FL150 and between FL210 and FL390 as well as icing between FL080 and FL180 along of our route.

Climbing out of runway 30.

After a procedure turn we are heading east crossing over Laramie Airport again.

Towards the end of our flight the sun is preparing for sunset thus illuminating the horizon in light rose colors.

We had planned for ENDEE4 approach via waypoints MIING and FENCK etc. in a left turn on to runway 22L. However, ATC insisted in giving us vectors which lead us farer to the north directly crossing over O’Hare Airport!

Following this route which we never had dared to select voluntarily on our own, we made a large loop out via Lake Michigan to approach the waterfront of downtown Chicago from east.

Thus we made it to runway 22L of Chicago-Midway in the middle of the town.

Finally  we arrived at gate C2 next to a commuter aircraft operated by American Eagle the regional branch of American Airlines.

Wish you all always happy landings

When preparing for departure we have an A320 of Northwest Airlines and a B737 of Southwest Airlines parking next to us.

The weather map shows again clouds and some areas of turbulences and icing. No real news.

Taxiing to runway 04R.

Due temperatures below 3°C and expected precipitation we decided to have a deicing procedure performed.

Climbing out of runway 04R.

On our climb out across Chicago downtown we first pass at Guaranteed Rate Field Stadium the home of Chicago White Sox Major League Baseball team (down in the lower right corner)…

… and some seconds later we are flying over Soldier Field Stadium the home of Chicago Bears American Football League team (just under the fin of the aircraft).

Further flight was uneventful, here we are crossing Lake Michigan on a nice but cold winter day.

After one and a half hours we fly northbound between Newark airport and New York City.

Flying up the Hudson River along Manhattan Island.

We are vectored north to land at runway 22. On our downwind leg on the right side we have a view at LaGuardia Airport.

On final approach to runway 22.

We parked on the western part of the airport at the apron of terminal A, the so called Marine Air Terminal (MAT). MAT was the airport’s original terminal for overseas flights in those days when flying boats or Clippers of Pan American Airways would disembark their passengers at this place.

Thanks Mathijs,

I really appreciate your call for this tour, although this one was a litlle bit more challenging with respect to time frame compared to the earlier one in 2,5 years. :D

See you at the bar, if you are still tolerated at the Reform Club Bar or did you switch locations?:cheers_s:

Cheers!
