PFPX questions

Hi,

 

i am bit confused concerning PFPX :

 

1) RAD

- I go to the RAD table and i find all the restriction dated 2016

- I dowloaded the RAD 1709 and moved files as indicated in the  read me

- The RAD table still shows the 2016 restrictions. Why ? 

 

2) Building a new flight checks the RAD ?

3) Validating a new flight is just checking the internal RAD database (strange if it has been builted using RAD table) or in the EUROCONTROL  NOP ?

 

Sory but i can not find in the manual (downloaded with the program) clear indications ! Is another more precise manual available somewhere ?

The PFPX entries do not reflect the full EuroControl RAD and are not updated per AIRAC cycle

I'll assume you mean the 'PFPX RAD Restrictions and Directs 1709' file provided and maintained by David in the download section of the forum ?

The file contains some updates and additions by David as is again not the complete RAD. David's files provide the much needed directs to enable Free Route Airspace function within PFPX.

As above, not a full AIRAC update.

PFPX will try to build a route with the inbuilt RAD restrictions if enabled.

Route validation takes place at EuroControl with the full and current RAD.

 

You can add/delete/modify PFPX RAD entries if you wish using the editor.

1) couple of  more question, where do i find the latest RAD to be dowloaded in order to add/delete/modify the RAD entries ?

2) Where do i find in the program the RAD restiction enable option ?

EuroControl RAD , access the current cycle, I suggest downloading the RAD Consolidated Version pdf.

RAD filtering in PFPX is on by default and can be toggled in the Advanced Planner:
