Why don't you just use the PDMG manager to install this update?

The manager no longer allows this type of update.
Today the updates occur in two ways: Logging on the PMDG website (if you bought directly with them), or waiting for the version to the resellers (Aerosoft).

This is not true. I updated from 8414 to 8443 via the PMDG manager.

What you are describing happened (several times) recently, apparently because PMDG had to change the installer program.

Marco, vysous is quite correct. I noted this update process in replying to a related post of yours. In your screenshot, right under the listing of the version differences for the "PMDG 777 - FSX:SE" the dialog box plainly states "A product update is available via the Operations Center Notifications Page."

To clarify on some earlier statements, initially, PMDG updates to newly revised P3Dv4 products were always full updates that required uninstalling the previous version, then installing the complete downloaded file. This was true for those who purchased directly from PMDG as well as from Aerosoft. PMDG's stated goal was to get to a stable base, from which future updates could be done through the Operations Center. For further history, see this thread. In the lead post for that thread, dated July 27, Robert Randazzo stated, "Okay- another big round of updates for you this evening.  We are modestly certain that this will be the last batch of "no, you REALLY have to download the full installer again" updates as we seek to improve customer installation stability and eliminate some of the more common support call causes moving forward." So since about then, all further updates are through the Ops Center." Later in that post, he wrote, "Alright- I suspect we will be moving back to micro-updates with optional installer downloads after this round... "

So PMDG is now solidly in the update through the Ops Center mode. The screenshot in the 5th post shows that the then current update is in fact done through the Ops Center. That said, some have had issues doing updates this way. For those unable to update that way, or that have installation issues with Ops Center updates, see this thread on the PMDG commercial support forum.
