g3d.dll, so the 3D graphics library of P3D. If it possible that the crash occured when the lights of the airport became visible?

One more thing (in general): The crash handler routine catches every crash in FSX/P3D, not just stuff that's caused by the ASCRJ.dll. The reason for this is that the DLL runs as part of the FSX/P3D process.

1.0.0.4 is not the latest. Version 1.0.0.5 is the latest version and there is an "experimental" 1.0.0.5c here:

Make sure to uninstall the current version and redownload and install the 1.0.0.5 from your Aerosoft (or Simmarket, etc.) account before applying the .dll in the 1.0.0.5c zip file.

It looks like it's RAASPro that's crashing here. Please uninstall it (you can uninstall it separately) until the developer provides us with an updated version of it.

1: 1.0.0.5

2: P3D 2.5

3: on heading approach to KORD 32L at night, then captured ILS LOC1 with NAV, when glideslope was near the center, pressed APR and immediately my frames dropped to 1fps. Paused it thinking maybe the scenery was loading in the distance, unpaused, deselected APR and fps rose but still very choppy, pressed APR again and got about 1 second of 1fps again then I was staring at my desktop with no errors and process no longer running either.

4: no dump file. (have landed several times at different KORD runways with no issues and no other issues I've seen that weren't related to my lack of knowledge)

Just installed new version 1.0.0.5 (p3d v4) and had another CTD without any error reporting in Windows Error Logs.  My issues appear to happen when clicking on the PFD and MFD screens to bring up the larger images.  This CTD issue is really troubling and continues to make this plane unflyable for me.  Frustrating to do all that prep-work for a flight only to have the thing crash p3d before I even get off the ground.  I did install that RAAS thing.  I guess I could uninstall that to see if it helps.

Sorry, but P3D 2.5 is not supported:

Yes I'm aware of this but my withholding information is not going to help problems get solved. I'm in an industry of diagnostics myself and know firsthand the biggest battle is lack of information especially when others that lack knowledge about what's being worked on keep it to themselves because they think there's no relevance. I posted the info to add more info, not as a support ticket for my own personal gain.

Several questions:

Where are all these hotfixes and updates?  I've been checking the "hotfixes" link in this forum where the last update was that 1.0.0.5 is still being worked on.  When reading that others had it installed I found that it was available from my Aerosoft account.  Now I'm reading about additional hotfixes - V1.0.0.5c.  Where are these updates posted?   Where are these files?  I'm actually pretty savvy when it comes to computers and websites, yet I'm unable to find the current information on the progress of the CRJ  and these updates.  This just adds to my frustration.

On the brighter side of things - I've removed the RAAS install by uninstalling and reinstalling the 1.0.0.5 CRJ version and have flown two successful flights!  The first was a rather 'guarded' flight - not clicking at all on the FMD, PFD or FMS screens to bring up the 2D windows for easier viewing, but instead using EZDOK Camera to set zoom views to them in the VC.    The second flight - albeit a shorter flight, I did use the 2D screens without a CTD.

I'm about to give it another run-through to see how it does.

I had another problem with CRJ (Version 1.0.0.5) - this time a sim freeze.  I seem to alternate between sim freeze and CTD.  The sim freeze requires me to kill the app via task manager.  Again - I believe this was related to me clicking on the PFD MFD screens to bring up the 2d windows.

I'm grounding this aircraft again until I can get another update to try (since I don't know where the other hotfixes are...).

Since it's ai_player.dll I would assume a connection to AI or ground traffic or some sort. Not necessarily SPAI (although possible). It could also be related to the scenery's AFCAD.

Do you get this error every time?

Yours was caused by something .NET related (crash in CLR.dll)

I'm getting a feeling that this crashhandler thing catches things that wouldn't crash otherwise. Since of the last dozen or so minidumps not even one pointed to ASCRJ.dll, I'm going to dump the crashhandler in the next version.

Just out of curiosity ... did none of the beta-testers ever, over a very long, loooooong, period had ANY problems with CTDs? Not that it is a CTD, it simply evaporates and quit to desktop. No warning or error given, just KAPPAAAW, BANG, BOOOM! ... das Ende der Geschichte!.
