jj270204 1
Hi. I was wondering how do you create your own livery on the airbus x and what addons do you need.
Walter Almaraz 81
Hello, In general you need a software to paint, for example Gimp https://www.gimp.org/, it's freeware (very nice btw), and the paintkit which you can find at the end of the page: http://www.aerosoft.com/en/fsxp3d/flight-simulator-x-steam/aircraft/1796/airbus-bundle?number=AS13235 Also check some tutorials in youtube, about how to use gimp, you will have some tips for your paints. PatrickZ 300
The best software to paint, however not the cheapest, is Adobe Photoshop. It requires some experience since Photoshop is not the easiest software to work with, you literally drown in the endless possibilities so it takes a while to learn how it works. Once you get the hang of it you never want anything else again. The paintkit is of course an essential thing, without a paintkit you can't paint. While the paintkit works in other programs like Gimp or Paint.net too it's optimised for Photoshop. The last tool I think I should mention is MWGraphics DXTBmp. This tiny little program is used to save your textures in a format that FSX/P3D can read, that's either 32-bit or DXT3. Don't think you can just start and create the most beautiful repaints just out of the blue, it takes a while to get to know how everything works. Getting the right tools is one thing, learning how to use them is something else. Most important is that at any given time you got the feeling you know what you're doing. Once you don't know what you're doing anymore you're doing something wrong.
John Glanville 821
Adobe Photoshop CS2 has been available as FREEware from the Adobe site for quite some time . One major advantage of using this program is that you are able to save directly as DXT by using the available NVidea plug-ins .

Actually better than gimp.
