Aerosoft A 320 overpowered?

Recommended Posts

I made a fly from SBCF to SBGL using aerosoft´s A 320-232 IAE and after that, with the same plane from FSLabs. Both with the same ZFW , TOW and clear skies.Aerosoft´s plane took 13´15´´ to get to FL300, whereas FSLabs took 16`10``. Is this an indication that aerosoft´s plane is overpowered or could it be that FSLabs´s is underpowered?

No, the engines can be configured/bought with a different performance just like an 2.0l car engine can have different horse power if you chiptune it for example.

The V2500 AS model for the A320 has 27000 pounds of thrust and is the B version. It could be that FSL models a lower thrust rating.

The flight conditions where the same, I used clear skyes in both flyes. The difference in behaviour was accentuated after FL200, where the aerosoft bus mantained a climb above 2000fpm whereas the FSLabs never exceeded 1800fpm.The initial conditions where ZFW = 57.6 tons and TOW = 62.3 tons
