GregH 1
I subscribe to NavData updates for PFPX. I notice that a fair sized chunk Europe seem to be missing upper airways information. This means planning IFR flights across Europe results in PFPX presenting really odd routes with huge deviations around these 'empty' areas. I thought it might be due to 'no fly zones' but I don't think this is the cases Austria is affected by this too. is this just an issue with recent NavData updates or maybe I need to do something differently? Jan-Paul Schuchna 24
Hi, this is probably due to Free Route Airspace Implementation by Austria and Slovenia: https://www.austrocontrol.at/jart/prj3/austro_control/data/dokumente/Ep69G_LO_Circ_2016_A_06_en.pdf Until 2022 all upper airways will be gone in whole Europe: https://ec.europa.eu/transport/modes/air/ses/ses-award/projects/hufra_en
