Aerosoft Tromso ENTC Apron Lights

Nexus82

Recommended Posts

Hello

Using P3D 3,4 and the latest ENTC version available from Simmarket.

What is causing the lightbeams from the lightpost to look inverted? Is it supposed to be this way? :)

Thanks in advance.

Easy solution, if you have latest version of Aerosoft Mega Airport Oslo 2.0 installed.

1. Go to your Prepar3D v3\Effects\texture folder, rename\backup file Aerosoft_ENTC_Flood_fx.bmp.

2. In same folder, find file Aerosoft_ENGM_flood.bmp.

3. Make a copy of that file, Aerosoft_ENGM_flood.bmp.

4. Rename that copy to Aerosoft_ENTC_Flood_fx.bmp.

Not a perfect solution, but in my eyes, usable.

P3D v. 3.4.9 and Mega Airport Oslo 2.0 v.1.07

There is another way around.

It requires that you have installed the FSX version,

then copy Aerosoft_ENTC_Flood_fx.bmp and

paste it to the Effects\texture folder.

Lastly you need to deactivate the Aerosoft_ENTC_Flood_fx.dds by renaming it to Aerosoft_ENTC_Flood_fx.dds.ORI

It's done. Tested in P3Dv3.4

I do not not own Oslo so I tried the file from the FSX version. The light cone is facing downward o.k., but the effect is clearly misplaced. It would be nice if the information could be passed to  the developer. It does not seem a major effort to make Tromso compatible with ver 3.4.

Problem solved: You have to edit the file "fx_Aerosoft_Tromso_Flood.fx" in the /Effects Folder (notepad will do fine).

In the section [ParticleAttributes.0]

the values

uv1=1.00, 1.00
uv2=0.00, 0.00

should look like depicted, e.g. the original values have to be swapped.

Then go to section [Emitter.0] and change the following values to look like this:

Y Offset=-2.00, -2.00
Z Offset=0.00, 0.00

Leave the files in the /Effects/Texture Folder unchanged, or - if you made changes already - revert them to the original state.

Done!

All changes on your own risk! Backup is your friend!
