Bluemarlin1 11
Hi Everyone Since the last update of PFPX I am having issues with the flight plan asking for weird climbs and descents in the middle of the route. I have checked and there is no route restrictions yet PPX is sometimes commanding a 6000 foot descent and less than 100 miles later commanding a climb back to the original level. Got to say I do not like these min cost, min fuel, min time options as there does not seem to be any explanation of what these calculations are predicated on and I am not convinced some of these errors are in some way caused by this. Can the developer or anyone else comment on the causes.

srcooke 422
It looks like it may be a/c profile related, certainly I see the same result with the B77W. With the 77L whilst an unexpected step down exists it is not by the same margin: -N0482F380 GALK3A GALKO M522 ELANG R223 AGSON/N0485F390 R223 BRU/N0481F400 L649 LAXOR/N0479F380 M772 DABGI/N0484F400 M772 ASOBA/N0482F390 M772 DULOP Q1 CARSO/N0483F380 V551 SUKER V542 BETTY BETY2B
matta757 0
*BUMP* I'm actually having the same problem. I'm using the LevelD 767-300. Also, what does the * BDRY in the legs page of the flight plans mean now? I too am frustrated by the lack of explanation of the changes to PFPX with the last update. Thanks, Matt

I image BDRY signifies your are going from one ARTCC to another. That's a guess so could be wrong. Michael Cubine
matta757 0
ARTCC? Sorry, not sure what the acronym means. But *BDRY shows up repeatedly in the legs of the plan.

Thanks, Matt Hello Matt, Providing the OFP for the plan where the climb/descent issue exists may help the developer. It may at least exclude RVSM, Airway, other restrictions been the cause. The BRDY ( Boundary ) entry occurs where the ATC sector changes, as posted by Michael, and is not associated with a waypoint. The ATC sector is also named. matta757 0
Hi guys, Thanks for the info, seems obvious now that you've said it. I haven't experienced the multiple up and down flight levels in a while, I'll have to see if it happens again. Regarding the OFP and the inclusion of the ATC boundary points in the legs print out, is there an option to not include the *BDRY points in the legs print out? It just adds to the length of the page and thus more paper used to print. I liked how it wasn't included before the update. Any insights would be great, but I assume this is just something to live with. Thanks, Matt

I quit printing the OFP on long flights like VHHH-EDDF. The thing is like a book. I just use the summary now. Maybe someone around here has stock in a paper company.
