I kind of disagree with you on the 737. I first bought the pmdg 777 and then bought the pmdg747 V3 and found the transition to be very easy which is why I decided to buy the 737 NG, but when I jumped in the cockpit I realized it's 10x more complicated than it's brothers and I still haven't done a full flight in it. The thing I love about airbus is that it's very easy to transition from the 320 to the 330 to the 340...

That's why I think this product will be a huge success.

I agree there. The NGX is nothing like the 777 or 747. The only similarity I can see, is that they can all fly lol. But yeah, the 777 and the 747 are very similar, the biggest difference being the absence of fly-by-wire in the 747. I'm imagining the differences between the A32x series and the A33x series are something just as subtle.

When it comes to software development you always have a release plan.

When it comes to sales you are at Aerosoft.

Over.

Um...do you honestly think Aerosoft don't have release plans? Just because they don't give dates, it doesn't mean they don't have a plan. Many big developers, including PMDG also don't give release dates, and with very good reason. So your post is nonsensical and it also comes across as very insulting to Aerosoft. I never downvote posts in this forum, so I won't start with you, but you can prepare yourself for the worst because that post doesn't come across in a nice manner.

Ladies and gentlemen, discussing the differences between an 737, 747 and 777 can be done in the general section of the AS forum.

Thank you.

Thank you.

What I was trying to show was that if you own the A320 it's going to be very easy to change into the 330, that's it.

Sorry for going off topic

And that is ok. The follow ups by others that just deal with the Boeings, hidden now, is a bit off topic here in the AS Airbus 2018 preview thread.

For those who dont want to go through 246 pages to see the latest updates.. where are we and is there any other place where i can find that information than the forum? I am working on A330/A340 and would like to fly the plane also in P3D. I know there is another version (different developer) which is already released, but i think it doesnt have shared cockpit. I would just like to know if there was any recent information about the release date.

There is no recent information regarding release, nor is their a published release date (Aerosoft does not do this until the release is imminent and approved by the Corporate Office).  What that means is that the release will be announced after the Developer/Development Team, Program/Beta Team Manager, and Aerosoft Management all agree - this way there are no hicups.  Once they have agreed, then Mathijs will announce the release.

If you wish to take a short cut, and be notified by email of the release date then please subscribe to the Aerosoft Newsletter.  This will keep you informed on all Aerosoft product releases. To subscribe, please visit the Aerosoft store.

I'm getting excited. I just saw the current gen Buses are on sale for 20% off. Sales usually indicate something new is coming...Well at least I hope that's the case here.

I do not subscribe to the hype about the other (Non Airbus) A320. I, like you (J VAN E) have all the options I need and I am not willing to pay a significantly more amount of money for things that I will not use. I do not think either plane competes against each other as they represent two different markets. I am anxiously waiting for the A318/19 as It's my go to plane. I have not even bothered to install my P3Dv4 yet as I cannot bring myself to give up the the A319. The one thing that cements my strong belief in the Aerosoft Airbus is that all the platforms (Except X Plane) are covered for the same price and that Aerosoft only charges for upgraded files. Anyway, back to waiting. I know it will be worth it.

. Presuming it comes with all the options the previous version had (like the audio checklist stuff and so on). I suppose that will be the case.

It absolutely is! We are not removing any old feature, we are only adding new ones!

Hello,

I hope this question is not completely nonsensical, but I've been away from flightsimming like a year and so, at that point this was still called the A330 Preview Thread. Long story short:

Which new features are planned for the A320 family (v2?) and A330? Dimmable Cockpit lights? Independent FMGC's ? I'd love to see a built in takeoff speed calculator and being able to load the aircraft by ZFW, as that is the most accurate when using a flightplanning tool like PFPX. So, can somebody maybe sum up for me what I missed out on?

Thanks and have a nice evening!

They have said that the A330 MCDUs will be independent where the 3rd one will have the same function as the right MCDU in the current A320 series. I don't know about the rest.

Couldn't agree more. This thread is a mess and nobody seems to be aware of it ...

I will not list them here as they are very much a work in progress at the moment and an incomplete list at that. As soon as AS feels the time is right they will publish them somewhere in one post. If you really want to get an idea you just have to read the last three months worth of posts unfortunately.

Hello! Gruezi Guten Tag and Bonjour to all.

Any news on the aerosoft airbus A330X I rang them up for a release date and they said that they have no information. Thanks for any updates and even a possible release date.

Hello Bill and welcome to the Aerosoft Forums.

To learn about the latest updates and statements I would like to suggest you read a little bit through this topic. The last 3 months should give a good overview.

AS is aware but there is reasoning behind keeping the thread like this.

Disclaimer; I do not know the reason for it.

I knew you would break this thread eventually. :beatcomputer_s:;)

On a more serious note, I don't know either but from an outside perspective there was allot of talk about the upcoming A320:s long before the thread was renamed.
Users asked about A320 stuff and A320 threads on a regular basis so AS perhaps thought could just use the thread for both projects since they, like real world airbuses (?), shares some components.
