Hello,

now our Sky Tools Free are available again. Version 1.21 working with X-Plane 10.42 or 10.45....

You can download them with our X-Plane 10 download area:

Registration in the Forum required.

For Version 1.21 we only have changed the shader. So if you have downloaded the Sky Tools v 1.20 you only can downlod the Shader-121-zip file.

Extract it and repplace the file cloud_puffs.glsl in the Shaders folder of the Sky tools. Then you have V 1.21.

For support please use our forum here:

http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/468-scenery/

Open a topic with an usable title for that.

Here are some screenshots with the six Cloud themes (examples).

Sky Theme is Sharp Shades, Weather is Scattered, Rendering Options Clouds: 10%

I was wondering if anyone has tested Sky Tools with X-Plane 10.50 beta yet, and if it is working OK?

Hi captain_alligator,

I think it SHOULD work, because it just changes some textures and shaders. I suggest you try it :) If it does not work, you can simply re-run the X-Plane installer, it will then install the default clouds again.

And please let us know about your results!

Hi to this community and thread,

first of all a big thank you to Aerosoft for providing this great tool for free! In older versions of this tool there was talked about a "3D folder" containing special cloud puffs. I can't find any files or folders called "3D" in this actual version. Are they no more needed regarding to X-Plane version 1.40 and above?

Best regards.

Hello,

the 3D Clouds where experimental in the old Sky Tools. There was no additional developement for the new Sky Tools.

And because of no improvements (the 3D Clouds are not real 3D but only a 3D-Effect) we don't have put them into the Sky Tools 1.21.
