  1. Hey 
    I have the following problem and it says when I connect to Shared Cocpit it says, Not connected, I ran the installer with admin rights, I added exceptions in the firewall, I turned the firewall off when I tried to connect me and when I look in the log file there is always the error, Debug level 1, I don't know what to do next, so I turn to you now.
    
    I hope to find another solution

      Hello Janek,

       

      Sorry to hear your having problems.  Posting on someone's profile,  or sending them a Private Message (which is different than posting on someone's profile) is not the best way of seeking assitance, and I don't provide technical assitance via either venue purely because others would not benefit from the information.

       

      The first (and best) step is the read the documentation that came with the product. I know, actually reading documentation is old school and not to many people (except us old timers) actually do it, but when it comes to the assitance I provide I insist on it.  Unfortunately, the Connected FLight Deck documentation we provided is fairly incomplete, so our Connected Flight Deck area of our forum is the best place to get technical support.

       

      The second step in obtaining techincal assitance is to seach (via Google or our Forum search functon, I prefer Google as our forums are indexed hourly by Google and it's the best search engine). Searching is best because our hobby has been online for over 30 years and there is rarely a question or problem that hasn't been asked and answered.  Moreover, searching not only can provide an immediate answer, but will expose you to additional information you may not have considered or known about.

       

      The next step (if searching didn't provide you with an answer) is to post in the relevant area of our forum (which is where you will find the answer to what you are looking for).  When you post, be sure to include all the relevent information such as the actual product you are asking about and what the base simulator is (there are eight or nine of those) and everything you've tried to resolve the issue.  Saying "I have a problem" is pretty much a dead end for you and those who might help you.


      Finally, you can always email support at support@aerosoft.com if the forum isn't working out for you.

       

      I'll address one final thing here... there is no shared cockpit in all of flight simulation which produces a message "Not connected", but this does exist in Connected Flight Deck.  The terminology here is not symantecs, it's actually very import.  Shared Cockpit is a peer to peer connection while Connected Flight Deck (CFD) is server based for both participants.

       

      Posting in the forum to obtain technical assistance will result in any one of our excellent staff members answering your question(s), however if you want a particular staff member to answer or weigh in on your post you can Private Message them a link to the post.

      We ask people to post their questions in the forums rather than writing to us personally, that way everyone can benefit from the question and answer.  For every person who asks a question, there are several people who usually have the same question... now and in the future (people search our forums for answers too).

      I have provided you with instructions which include our Discord Server, and I initially indicated that you needed to ensure that your Teamviewer was update to date - to which you asked me if you needed to update your Teamviewer. 

       

      I've told you several times now that you need to log into our Discord Server, and you don't seem to understand that and you seem to want me to log into your computer without speaking with you.  Not going to happen. 

       

      NOTE:  You communicated with us in English and at that time I did not know your location.  If you don't speak English then I'm afraid I won't be able to assist you as I don't speak Italian.

       

      If you speak English, then please Login to our Discord Server in the next 15 minutes using the link I provided to you a few days ago otherwise there is no way I can help you and you'll have to seek support for your hardware device from either the manufacturer (Thrustmaster) or from Lockheed Martin (P3D Support Forums).

      Okay, I remember.  I communicate with at least 10 to 30 people each day in flight sim, so it's easier for me to remember issues rather than user names... and we remember a usernames it's usually not a good thing, LOL! 

       

      The best thing to do for me to log onto your system, otherwise you're stuck with the advice that Mathijs and I have already provided to you.

       

      I am busy testing the A330 Beta right now, but if you'll do as I asked and join me on our Discord server, I'll take a look at your system.  There is no other option, except for you to go to AVSIM or communicate with Thrustmaster or Lockheed Martin and get them to look into this.  We already know it's not our software.

      Well, you've not provided me with a lot of information to go on.  What simulator?  What aircraft? 

       

      If you're having a general issue with UTC time in your sim, and you are using FSX or P3D, then you should know that time has some problems and to resolve most people use a product called FS Realtime.

       

      If you need further assistance I would try AVSIM or if appropriate the Lockheed Martin P3D forum as we don't provide support unless it's regarding one of our many products.

  17. Dave could use some help if possible,  I loaded Active Sky and had some issues.   Their support team asked me for a few things one being a FSUIPC5 log.    I looked in my add on's and don't see that listed so I'm not sure what this is and how to install it,  much less get a log.  I'm running P3D if that makes any difference.   TY

      Sorry, I'm not able to provide support for non-Aerosoft products, but I know the owner of HiFi and a few members of the team there pretty well and they are always willing to help with their product.  Just let them know you're having issues providing what they've asked for, or you could also try the FSUIPC support forum.  Best wishes.

      The best thing to do is log into the Aerosoft Discord Voice Server (https://discord.gg/yc2QBat) and meet the guys.  That said, Connected Flight Deck currently has some new bugs which has more or less grounded all of us.  The good news is that we're working to resolve these issues and hope to get an update out soon.  I don't have any other information on this, except that we're working on it.  Also, this is only for the Airbus Professional.  We don't yet support Connected Flight Deck for FSX/P3Dv3 on the Discord server, but will in the future.

    Thanks for the help yesterday re Lukla.

     
    Well I flew out of there fist of all to Kathmandu with Active Sky for P3D switched off and no problems at all.
     
    I tried to fly back again in the Twin Otter twice again without Active Sky and did manage to get onto the approach to Lukla once before CTD occurred.
     
    So I thought I would try it with something simple like the default P3D Commander and indeed made it all the way in until on landing I was faced with a green "hill" halfway along the runway.
     
    To explain the above I attach some screenshots of both the Twin Otter CTD and the Commander on top of the hill!
     
    I used Little Nav Map for my plan and it shows the two Luklas (defualt and Aerosoft) 1.3 nm apart! 
     
    Yes I have deactivated Lukla in FTX vector. As I say I can fly out of there but not into it.
     
    I stress that when I loaded it and flew out of it all was fine. When I loaded a new flight and went back it wasn't!
     
    Another interesting comment you may like to pass to Otto (I am not going to post this on the Aerosoft site) is the part of the software installation process that offers it for P3Dv4. I would be interested to know how he explains that one when he says it is only suitable for v3!

      Tony,

       

      Please remember not to respond to notification email messages.  If you respond directly to notification emails, the response goes into a black hole.  One of our guys recently stumbled on such a reply from you.  Instead of replying to a notification email, you need to click on the link provided in the email itself.

       

      There is no way for he to help you with this without knowing all you did (step by step) with all sorts of software installations.  Also, since the scenery is truly not P3Dv4 compatible, there is little point in doing so.  But from what I see, you have some pf the scenery files still present in P3D (like the sloped runway). You will have to find where these files are and remove them, but since i don't have this scenery I can be of no help to you with this.

       

      We re-use files between different products, and this includes installer templates. I believe this is what happened, and why there is a P3Dv4 selection in the installer.  In other words, we made a mistake.

  20. Hi Dave  just a quick question  In CFD you only hear the copilot's voice.  What if you want to see him/her in real time?

    So obviously we need a camera and skype and how do we go about synchronizing all that?

      2. CFD is for flying with another human, it is not designed to be flown with an AI Copilot.

Hi Dave , it's me Giuseppe you remember I had problems with the MCDU , some of the buttons are inoperative and I can't do any setup on the aircraft , you  give me the link to summit a ticket to the support team , in the mean time I format the pc and started from scratch to make sure that I hadn't any damage files . I install the p3dv4 and before of anything else I install the airbus bundle but the problem still there , very disappointed and frustrated because I been trying absolute any suggestion that was possible to find on the forum  .

    the only answer I had from the support team was to make sure that the engines are not running and the parking break are applyed . Please Dave see if you can help me to solve the problem I this point i'am desperate , especially because I never had problem before of this kind with the aerosoft products , and always they are been my first choose on buy them .

Hi Dave , thank you for youe replay , just to say that i have been trying every suggestion found on the forum regarding the mcdu not working buttons , even clicking on the top grey buttons at the top of the mcdu , but nothing still working , i get very frustated , i hope you can help me on solving this issue .       I am very sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing, and I know first hand how frustrating that is.

       

      What I can tell you (and this is good news) is that the problem you're experiencing is not with our software, which means that we should be able to assist you with correcting the issue on your side.

       

      What I suggest is putting in a Support Ticket so that one of our in house techs can take a look at this with you. It often takes a few days for them to get to a new support ticket, but if you haven't heard back in 3 days then please let me know.  In fact, please let me know when the issue is resolved for you, and if you don't mind please keep me in the loop overall via Private Message?  If our in house tech can't help you resolve this, then I will try and squeeze in some time to jump in.

       

      You can put in a support ticket at the link below.  Please provide a link to your original post about this issue, as well as your system specs and which version of the Airbus you're using - this will speed things up!

  24. Hi Dave, Im from the topic with the connected flight deck in FSX Steam Edition. I was wondering: Is there a way to change my A320 from the steam page for the A320 from the aerosoft page so that I can download it from there and make a successful connected flight deck?

      Indeed there is.

       

      You can first ask Steam for a refund, and then purchase the Airbus directly from Aerosoft.  That is what others have done.

  25. Hi David

    I asked on the forum about Manchester x working in p3dv4 then the forum got locked

    You said yours was working even thou its not made for V4

    Q1 is your ground textures working as well

    i have Done everything you said but still have ground issues

    Everything else seems to be ok

      Mike,

       

      In the future would you please send me a PM rather than posting on my profile?  We don't get a specific notification when people post on our profiles and it's difficult to track.  That said, my normal response to people who PM me is to ask them to create a forum post and PM me the link... this is so others who have the same or similar issues now or in the future will benefit from any information shared.

       

      There is only two other things I can think of... either you had some other EGCC scenery installed previously and one or more of the files are still there, and the other thing i posed in the forum in question (see below).  That said, the Lorby Addon Organizer Tools section has a tool that will give you a report of all scenery files installed on your system and you can use that to check for any remaining files left over from another EGCC scenery.  I don't have anything else to tell you about this issue.
