Just a shot to show that not only systems will be changed on the Airbus X Extended. We are including this Airbus test bed aircraft with the nice sharklets. Note that we do NOT make a complete Airbus NEO series, this is just the model that Airbus used to test the effects of the new wing tips. Looks incredible though.

It's a beauty Mathijs, but as I said before, the bus is on par with the NGX when it comes to model and VC. Once the systems are modelled it will be the standard for serious Airbus and sim enthousiast same as the NGX is for simulating a boeing aircraft. Of that I am convinced.

And I still enjoy to take her out for a spin around Europe :)

Hello Mr Kok, do we have an estimate on when this will be released and a price for current owners of the airbus v1?

Thankyou

This year and you should count on about 50% discount. Not 100% sure yet though.

Yes, my info was outdated. this has to be the navlight. Bit surprised though because it would limit visibility backwards and sideways.

I hope you will go on with the previews. It also could be a Beta Video on Youtube how all the systems are working:D PMDG also did it

That's the point, why I wasn't sure, if this is really the nav light. Maybe they add something on the back side or this is no thte final version....

We intend to keep it as light as the original was (so very very easy). Where we will loose some because of the more complex displays we intend to gain some by redoing some other bits with insights learned since we did the first one.

nice but you should better wait till the first "official" A320 with winglets gets delivered to an Airline ;)
A NEO wouldn't de that hard to make, just new engines and that's basicly it ;)

No the NEO has a load more changes then that, from complete other engine options to new cockpit layouts. And some of that is not yet finalized even. But we love those large sharklets so we are including the one that has flown with them. Besides we needed that testbed model.

Hello Mathijs. Its Good to know that Aerosoft AIRBUS X V2 will be released by this year. Cant wait to taker her for a spin.I wish the entire Aerosoft Dev.Team "All the Best" and may they come up with the "AIRBUS " we have been waiting for these years.

Mathijs I just have two question:-

1) Will the A.P.U sound for the Aerosoft AIRBUS X V2 will be there in the exterior as it was really, really missed in Ver1, as it would give the impression of realism.

2) Will the displays on the F.O. side will be synchronize with the change on Capt. side as this will add realism,For EG:- If we change on Capt side  MODE:-ARC and RANGE 40 NM it show the same on F.O side? or MODE:-NAV and RANGE 160 NM

Thanking You

Not sure on the sound, we'll see. And are you sure the two displays are synced? As far as I know both can be set different. We still do not care a lot for the co-pilot seat btw, it is still a project very focused on the left seat.

Hello Mr Kok, how probable would be the appearance of a "two shaded lighting" in the VC, similar two the CRJ project, including a mood lighting with instrument lighting and very soft flood lighting for approaches and and a more brighter one? I hope you could say something about it somewhere in the future as this is quite an important point for me.

Thanks

That's really sad! I'd love to get flood lights for the Airbus. It just needs them! In all other ways flying at night is really not good! We need those lights!

But if you won't change the lightning in this release would you probably do it in V2.1?

Well actualy the only thing I'm looking forward to in the V2 is the new coded FBW. I don't realy "need" SIDs and STARs but correct VNAV LNAV would be great ;) The Airbus is easy to fly and a "jump in and fly" aircraft for me. I have the NGX for "hardcore flying". :P

The advance is nice but how looks off with the systems? Much pilots need a Airbus how can fly middle and short routes. I self fly the airbus and much landings crashed with the nose down. Will Aerosoft building a new FBW and a FMC?

The new version will have these changes
  • Full implementation of the MCDU functions (so added SIDs, STARs, routes, VNAV)
  • Complete rewrite of the FBW system (not using any FSX functions, so unfortunately loosing compatibility with many hardware addons)
  • Includes second engine type
  • Reworked NAV display
  • Adding of two more models and 24+ more liveries
  • New very innovative checklist (showing all incorrect switches and allowing them to be corrected from inside the checklist, in other words, clicking on the 'complete pre-flight checklist' button will actually complete it.
  • More (hundreds) and better sounds
  • Inclusion of several add-ins created by customers.
The basic idea that we focus on the general day to day operation of the airbus seen from the captains seat remains. So we still do not care a lot about cabin views, maintenance or even failures that happens on average.... nearly never. We understand this will mean this is not the 'ultimate Airbus' some people hope for but all our internal development is very much focused on the average simmer. The guy who sits at his desk after diner with a beer and 2 hours to kill. Not a two person crew that is highly trained, well rested and sober. So we still limit our own development to what we think fits this customer best.

Oh and for those that wonder, still no wingflex, lol! It's an Airbus A320, not a Dreamliner with floppy wings.
